Sonata was taken in when her owner, a long time Arabian horse breeder, had to sell his farm. She is missing half of her tongue, but does very well despite her disability. She was 22 at the time and had rarely been handled. It took three months before she would let us touch her, and is still a bit shy. Sonata suffers with arthritis in her hip, and requires joint supplements and massages to maintain her quality of life. Sonata is 28 years old in 2016.
